Nike has just released a few liquid gold dipped versions of some of their most 
popular women's sneaker styles. We just got our hands on the highly prized 
liquid gold Nike dunk sky hi wedge. These Margiela-inspired show stoppers come in packaged in an all white tone on tone box, and feature high end details such as perforated leather interior lining, a gold metal NIKE brand plate on the back of each shoe,
an AU (period table element reference) stamp on the tongue, and an extra pair of 
laces in case the shimmer look isn't your thing. 

These definitely get a "gold-dipped" COOL stamp from us!

The first images from the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M advertising campaign have just been released. Shot by artist and director Sam Taylor-Johnson, the pictures are the first preview of precisely what the hugely-anticipated designer-high street collaboration has in store.

The images showcase a taster of both the men's and womenswear on offer - a selection of chic separates with a focus on silhouette and cut, the likes of which are synonymous with the French fashion house's mainline collection. It was revealed last week that Taylor-Johnson shot a series of short films and still photographs for the campaign on the streets of Paris.

The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection will land in stores and online on November 15.

WATCH THIS: H&M + MARGIELA

Maison Martin Margiela will be the next fashion powerhouse to team up with H&M for their affordable designer line. The collection is set to release this fall. Look out for participating store locations in early fall.

If you don't know now you'll know:
Belgian designer Martin Margiela is the originator of the now popular brand Maison Martin Margiela. The brand's popularity has recently soared among common folk (non-celebrities) when Kanye West shouted it out in his lyrics, "What's that jacket Margiela, heh?" I hope they're cutting him a check or sending him some good swag. Martin Margiela's genius has taken him through an amazing career which includes working with legendary designers & brands like: Gaultier & Hermès. Throughout his career, he has maintained an extremely low profile and has never had his picture taken and remains backstage after his shows. All media contact is dealt with via fax. In October, 2009, Margiela majority stakeholder Renzo Rosso finally made public: "Martin has not been there for a long time. He is here but not here. We have a new fresh design team on board. We are focusing on young, realistic energy for the future; this is really Margiela for the year 2015."

FASHION FILE : THE GRAMMY 2012 REVIEW

I have to say that the red carpet fashion at the 2012 Grammy Awards was quite the snooze fest.
There were just a handful of looks that did peak my interest including Rihanna's Giorgio Armani sleek & sexy gown, Kathy Griffin's surprisingly flattering look, Tyga's red velvet blazer, and I gasped when Gwyneth Paltrow sachayed down the stage in her glam Stella McCartney dress with cut-outs and gold belt... yes please! Chris Brown showed up and showed out in his performance where he danced up and down a multi-level cubic structure complete with colorful projections. As I watched the performance in awe, I was pleasantly distracted by his super reflective silver Maison Margiela kicks from the Summer 2012 collection... yours for “only” $680 at Saks (side note: I believe they're women's shoes). Anyways, I wasn't digging the rest of his ensemble, but who cares when you're wearing shoes that cool!
