The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala has been described as the Oscars of fashion. The purpose of the gala is to raise funds for the Costume Institute. We love this event because it is all about celebrating designers and their amazing works of art. It is the night where designers are the stars and the stars are their canvases. This year there was lots of glitz and glam on the carpet but, we would have liked to see more drama and avant-garde artistry applied to the works... after all this is the COSTUME gala people.
